1. The present continuous tense:

- Listen and read.

- The present continuous tense:

+ Usage: expressing the actions happening at the time we are speaking or writing.

+ Forms:

 Positive: am/is/are + V-ing

Ex: It is raining now.

 Negative: am/ is/ are + not + V-ing

Ex: It’s quarter to nine. He isn’t going to school.

- Questions and short answers:

 Be (am/ is/ are) + S + V-ing?

 Yes, S + am/is/are.

 No, S + am not/ isn’t/ aren’t.

Ex: Is she brushing her teeth?

 Yes, she is.

 What’s Adam doing?

 He’s sleeping.

Adverbs: It’s + time.

2. Imperative.

- Listen and sing.

- Imperative:

 V + ., please!

 Don’t + V +., please!

- Asking sts to recall the way to tell the time.

- Asking them to look at the clocks in the pictures to tell the time.

- Instructing st to listen and read the text.

- Explaining new words if necessary.

- Asking sts to work out the tense used in the text.

- Instructing sts to listen and sing.

- Asking them to work out the froms of imperative.
