1. Past simple tense: (Thì quá khứ đơn)
 a. Khẳng định: S + V-ed/V2
Ví dụ: - We studied English last night. (Tối qua chúng tôi đã học tiếng Anh.)
He met his old friend near his house yesterday. (meet – met – met: gÆp)
 b. Phủ định: S + did not + Vo .
 - He didn’t go to school last week. (Tuần trước cậu ta không đến trường.)
- We didn’t see him at the cinema last night.
 c. Câu hỏi: Did + S + Vo?
* Dấu hiệu nhận biết thì QKĐ
yesterday (hôm qua)/ ago: Cách đây
last night/ last week/ last month/ last year: tối qua/ tuần trước/ tháng trước/ năm ngoái)
when: khi (trong câu kể)
2. Present perfect tense. (Th× hiÖn t¹i hoµn thµnh)
a. Khẳng định: S + have/ has + Ved/V3 .
- S = I/ We/ You/ They/ Danh tõ sè nhiÒu + have
- S = He/ She/ It / Danh tõ sè Ýt+ has
- I have graduated from my university since 2012. (Tôi tốt nghiệp đại học từ năm 
2012.)
- She has lived here for one year. (Cô ấy sống ở đây được một năm rồi.)
b. Phủ định: S + haven’t / hasn’t + Ved/V3 .
- We haven’t met each other for a long time.
- He hasn’t come back his hometown since 1991. c. Câu hỏi: Have/ Has + S + Ved/V3 ..? (Yes, S+ has/ have. / No, S + hasn’t/ 
haven’t)
- Have you ever traveled to America? (Bạn đã từng du lịch tới Mỹ bao giờ chưa?)
 Yes, I have./ No, I haven't.
- Has she arrived London yet? (Cô ấy đã tới Luân Đôn chưa?)
 Yes, she has./ No, she hasn't.
 S + V + O
3. Passive: (c©u bÞ ®éng) Tæng qu¸t
 S + be + Ved/V3 + by + O
a. §èi víi th× hiÖn t¹i ®¬n. 
 S + is/are/am + Ved/V3 + by + O
Ex: A book bought by Mai (A. is B. are C. am D. tobe)
b. §èi víi th× qu¸ ®¬n. 
 S + was/were + Ved/V3 + by + O
Ex: Minh painted two pictures. →Two pictures were painted by Minh
c. §èi víi th× hiÖn t¹i hoµn thµnh. 
 S + have/has + been + Ved/V3 + by + O
Ex: Da Lat . by Miss Hoa for 3 years.

7. Modal verbs with if
If + simple present, S + modal verb .
Ex: If you want to get good grades, you should study hard.
 You should study hard if you want to get good grades.
8. Adverb clauses of result. (Mệnh đề trạng từ chỉ kết quả)
 1-e: Hoa studied hard, so she passed the exam.
 2-a: Lan is going to be in a play, so she has to learn the story.
 3-d: Nga is sick today, so she won't go to school.
 4-b: Na woke up late, so she didn't have time for breakfast.
 5-c: Mrs Robinson has to cook dinner, so she is going to market now.
